From January 1, 2019, travelers from 53 countries that have a connection to a country outside China can visit several Chinese cities. From New Year, the 5 new cities can be visited for up to 6 consecutive days. The new cities are:

When the client visits one of these cities, it is no longer necessary to apply for a separate visa. It is also permitted to travel for business purposes, provided that the maximum period of 6 days is not exceeded. The policy of traveling for up to 6 days without a visa applies only to 4 specific Chinese regions. This includes the area around Beijing and Shanghai.
