Chinese hospitality giant Wanda Hotels & Resorts is venturing into a new realm with the first branded Wanda Realm resort outside China. The company has chosen the Malaysian tropical island of Langkawi for its international debut. Wanda signed a management deal with Cenang Resort Sdn Bhd for the 350-room property which will feature restaurants, entertainment and a fitness centre. It will anchor the new resort development of Tropicana Cenang at Pantai Cenang beach which fully opens in 2023. The development comprises two 40-storey residential towers and commercial spaces focused on tourism. The resort development is expected to become a major entertainment and leisure hub. “Malaysia has developed a reputation for its excellent standard of hospitality and customer service.
