New plans for Stockholm Travel Show in 2017

2017 is the year of the renewal for Stockholm Travel Show.

A new Stockholm Travel Show is planned in both Stockholm and Helsinki“ says Martin Ahlberg, CEO of Finesse Promotions who organizes the event. The B2B workshop in March and a public fair in May are also on the menu. “A B2B tribute to Finland in August 2017 is an option and will we soon come back with more details” adds Martin.

It has been almost five years since Stockholm Travel Show built its first exhibitor stands in 2013 in Gallerian, Stockholm’s most central shopping mall. Ten fairs and several hundred exhibitors later Stockholm Travel Show is an established forum for both business and consumer affairs within the travel trade.

The list of prestigious exhibitors is long and many of them are coming back year by year, edition by edition, and present their offer both to the general public and the business buyers of Stockholm Travel Show. Stockholm Travel Show on Djurgården will take place on May 12-14th and is expected to represent a broad spectrum of exhibitors from all corners of the world, who would like to boost their sales before the summer and fall season. Exhibition possibilities on Djurgården are nearly unlimited since the fair is held outdoors.

The travel trade has a desire to reach out to their clients directly, but also to meet with each other and talk business. Since 2015, in free forms, without pre-arranged meetings and the bell, travel trade professionals meet twice a year, in the spring and in the fall, at Stockholm Travel Show B2B-editions. The event is free of charge for the 600 visitors who meet the exhibitors in a free flow and, in between the meetings, enjoy a delicious breakfast.

Cooperation that Stockholm Travel Show established in 2013 with Casino Cosmopol in Stockholm continues even next year, on March 23rd it is time again for exciting meetings. The exhibitors represent the variety branches of the trade: from the Swedish conference venues, through hotels, DMCs, destinations, airlines, to convention bureaus and digital tools providers.

But there is no Stockholm Travel Show without the careful consideration of the travel trade’s needs and demands. The renewal and new quality has been the organizer’s motto since the beginning. In the fall the renewal is to be expected and Finland’s one hundred years of independence can be a clue. A business event that gives space to Finnish travel industry is planned in Stockholm in August and the date will be announced soon. As well as for the B2B event that will connect Stockholm and Helsinki.

We know that the market is constantly changing and we want to give a professional contribution to the trade and help the players to find partners, visibility and business” says Martin Ahlberg.
