APG signs 9 new airlines

APG Airlines has signed 9 new airlines to its IET programme this year so far, an average of one new airline per month, despite the current COVID pandemic.

Vipper.com, Porter Airlines (PD), Arkia Israeli Airlines (IZ), AlbaStar (AP), Biman Bangladesh (BG), Jordan Aviation (R5), Silver Airways (3M), AnadoluJet (TK) and Kunming Airlines (KY) have all selected APG IET to expand their global sales distribution and generate incremental revenue streams.

Ophelie Cherdrong, APG IET Executive Product Director, commented “we are now starting to see good monthly increases in our APG IET interline revenue for our partner airlines as the COVID-19 situation stabilises in certain areas and airlines tell us this incremental revenue all counts as they react to the current difficulties. Over 100,00 travel agents now have access to tickets for our partner airlines in over 100 countries worldwide on our validating code, GP.

“We’ve also been able to help airlines not on GDS, like AlbaStar, become ticketable on GDSs in almost all countries, by loading their flights on GDS under our own code. It’s another way that airlines can tap into new revenue streams in these challenging times.”
