Cabin crew strike forces more Air France cancellations

A walk-out by cabin crew has forced Air France to cancel 25% of its medium-haul flights from Paris Charles de Gaulle, 15% of domestic flights and just under 10% of long-haul flights today (sunday). The airline has already been forced to cancel hundreds of flights since Wednesday and the walk-out is set to contine until August 2. It warned there might also be further last minute cancellations and delays and that passenger numbers might have to be restricted on some flights. “For the next days, according to the estimate of the number of employees on strike, our flight schedule will be adapted accordingly and published the day before your departure,” it told passengers. Customers who wish to postpone their trip can postpone travel from 3 to 12 August 2016 inclusive at no extra cost in the same class of travel. Passengers can also postpone their trip beyond 12 August, or if they no longer wish to travel, can receive of a non-refundable voucher valid one year on Air France, KLM or Hop!
