Lithuania’s g-spot

Combining wit, self-deprecation and raciness, Vilnius has launched an ad campaign with the slogan “Vilnius, the G-spot of Europe.”

The tagline: “Nobody knows where it is, but when you find it, it’s amazing.”

An ad poster depicts a woman experiencing sexual pleasure, laying on a bed sheet depicting a map of Europe, clenching the area where Vilnius is located.

Go Vilnius, the official tourism organization for Lithuania’s capital city, is directing the campaign at the U.K. and German markets.

“The campaign aims to increase the visibility of Vilnius, and to position the city as an exciting option for millennials seeking alternative tourism destinations. By capturing the imagination of the millennial market with its bold creative, the campaign presents Vilnius’ potential as an undiscovered European city-break destination, hence the playful tagline,” Go Vilnius said in a statement.

Go Vilnius said the campaign concept was created by Lithuanian advertising students.

According to reports, the Catholic Church has criticized the sexy ad campaign, with the Pope due to visit Lithuania in September.
