New boss at Finnair

Topi Manner will be new top manager in Finnair from 1 January next year.
Manner (born in 1974) has long experience from senior positions in Nordea, and since 2016 has worked in Nordea’s corporate management and as head of Personal Banking.
“Topi Manner has broad experience in both private and corporate business, and he has played a central role in the digital transformation and development of customer service in Nordea,” says Robert Lönnblad, chief of Finnair Norden.
“We believe that Topi’s leadership qualities fit perfectly into a service-oriented company like Finnair. Our main focus has always been the people, both those who travel and those who work here. Finnair has developed rapidly in recent years and we will continue to develop both customer service and transformation.
– Finnair is an iconic, modern company with a significant national role. The team has done an excellent job the past couple of years, says Topi Manner.
“I am proud to be part of their competent team to determine the future of the company, as well as further developing the skills associated with flight and travel. I know that they have a strong connection with the company, which gives us a good basis for continuing Finnair’s strategy implementation.
Finnair’s current chief, Pekka Vauramo, starts as top manager of Metso Group, leaving Finnair. Chief Financial Officer Pekka Vähähyyppä will take over as interim CEO.
