ROYAL CARIBBEAN ANNOUNCES NEW SALES DIRECTOR FOR THE NORDICS

Karen Tucker as Sales Director for Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, joining the brand’s dynamic Nordic sales team.  Magnus Wrahme, who has led the Nordic team since the end of 2019 and been with the company for a total of 15 years, will hand over the role of Sales Director to Karen before leaving the business in December 2022. Magnus has accepted a new role as President for World of Volvo in Gothenburg.

Karen Tucker joined Royal Caribbean Group in 2003 and will step up from her previous position as Head of UK Field Sales at Royal Caribbean International. Karen has worked in a variety of roles within the Group’s Air, Product and Sales departments and has built relationships across the business globally, gaining an in depth knowledge of the company practises and values.  Most recently Karen has been essential in Royal Caribbean International’s return to service in Europe and Singapore.  As project lead, Karen has worked closely with shipboard operations, Miami headquarters and international markets to successfully restart cruise operations for 4 ships.  Karen will take on the new role in December and will relocate and live in Oslo in the new year to provide full local support to the markets.

Karen will oversee the Nordic business for Royal Caribbean International, reporting to Ben Bouldin, vice president EMEA at Royal Caribbean International, who comments: “Karen has played an instrumental role in executing our successful European return to service over the past year and a half and I have no doubt that she will bring the same management and structural expertise to our Nordic business. With an extensive Royal Caribbean experience Karen has a profound knowledge of the business and has the capabilities to drive our Nordic markets to new heights. I also would like to thank Magnus for his solid contributions to our company and wish him great success also in his new role ”

We have a remarkable year ahead of us at Royal Caribbean and I look forward to working closely with the travel trade and our fantastic Royal team in the Nordics to support the growth of these markets.”
