Sex assault at Legoland

Police are appealing for information following a sexual assault of two girls at Legoland Windsor Resort in UK. Thames Valley Police said the offence happened at Castaway Camp in Pirate Shores, between about 12.15pm and 12.30pm on Thursday. The offender touched the victims, two six-year-old girls, inappropriately, it said. The offender is described as a white man, in his teens or early twenties, possibly under 5ft 8ins. He was wearing dark-coloured slim fitting trousers, a dark-coloured T-shirt, and trainers. Investigating officer, Det Insp Penny Mackenzie of the Child Abuse Investigation Unit, said: “I would ask anyone who visited the Legoland Windsor Resort to test your trip to see if you recognise anyone matching the offender. “Also, if you recognise the offender’s description or have some other information, no matter how insignificant you think it is, we want to hear from you.” “I would like to reassure the local community and visitors to Legoland that such offences are extremely rare and that we are working closely with Legoland to identify the suspect,” added Det Insp Mackenzie. A spokeswoman for Legoland said its staff acted swiftly and immediately called the police. “The safety and security of the families enjoying a day out with us is our number one priority,” she said. “We are now working closely with the police in assisting them with their investigation. Nothing of this nature has ever taken place at the Legoland Windsor Resort before and we are deeply shocked by the incident.”
