More strikes from Swedish pilots

In sympathy with the striking colleagues in Flybe, 900 Swedish pilots in SAS and five other airlines no longer work overtime.

SAS, TUIfly Nordic, Malmö Aviation and three other Swedish airlines are now being drawn into the controversy between Flybe and Swedish Pilotförening on agreement for Flybe’s Swedish pilots.

The pilots in Flybe stroke Thursday and expect to do so again on Sunday and Monday.

In response, Flybe and Svenska Flygbranschen decided to lockoute pilots from Saturday. Flybe has since October last year operated two ATR72-600 aircraft for SAS.

Monday and Tuesday more than 20 SAS domestic flights in Sweden were canceled every day.
